О фандомной не-элите хорошо написала барышня, ЖЖ которой я почитываю. В принципе, применимо к любым *нормальным* одержимцам

"Now that this is coming up and coming out, I just...I want to say that I am so, so sorry if I EVER made the non-BSG watchers on my flist feel like I think that they are less intelligent, or less awesome, or less ANYTHING because they don't watch it. That's not true at all. When we quote Dwight ("Do you watch Battlestar Galactica?") it's not to slam other people. It's because we care so much about this one thing that we want to share it with as many people as we can.

What we love, what we feel for Battlestar - it's beautiful to us. And I think we often come off as 'elitist' because we care so much for it, and we are absolutely blinded by our affection. And we're not elitist! We're just normal. I hate that people have gotten that impression from the fandom. We are SUCH a friendly and inquisitive bunch, and the fact that people have thought we're pushy, or rude, or any other number of things is so sad.

Now that we're literally at the end of it all, we're all overly emotional because this really is a monumental sort of time for us. It's the end of everything. And we never, never mean to make people feel like we're looking down on them. We're not. We just...this is the end. And we're all having really hard times dealing, so of course we're talking more and really trying to get people to experience what we have. We love this show". (с) crazyvictoria

- Wait... people think we're elitists? Сool! I love when geeks can be thought of as more than just losers. (c)
